The Building
Completed in 1938, The Hampshire House was converted to a cooperative in 1949. Standing 37 stories, its rooftop desk was created to reflect the McKim Mead and White-designed Park-Savoy Hotel which was torn down in 1964 for the creation of the General Motors building.
